Is MTG Mate free?
Yes. The app is free, has no ads and no in-app purchases.
How does Cloud Sync work?
Cloud Sync is optional. Open Settings, Profile in the app, enter your email address and tap the link you receive. There is no password. Your collections, decks, friends and trades then stay in step across every device where you are signed in.
Can I edit my cards in the browser?
Yes. Sign in at mtgmate.app with the same email address to manage your collections and decks on the web. Changes show up in the app the next time it syncs.
Which formats are supported?
The life counter offers 20, 30 and 40 starting life for Standard, Brawl and Commander, or any value you set, for one to six players. Decks can be built and checked for Commander, Standard, Modern, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, Pioneer, Brawl and Casual.
Can I import my decks from other tools?
Yes. MTG Mate imports and exports Archidekt, Moxfield and Manabox files as well as its own JSON format. You find it under Settings, Import / Export, or when you create a deck.
Does the app work offline?
The life counter, dice, match stats and your saved cards and decks work without a connection. Card images, current prices, combos and Cloud Sync need one.
What data does MTG Mate collect?
Without an account your data stays on your device. With Cloud Sync, your email address and card library are stored on the server. The app also sends error reports and a few usage events without your email address or account ID. The privacy policy lists everything.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings, Profile and choose Delete Cloud Account. Your account and synced data are removed from the server right away, and you receive a backup file of your library.
Is MTG Mate available on Android?
No. MTG Mate is available for iPhone and iPad. On other devices you can use card search and the web library at mtgmate.app.
